Obituary


Bruce Alan Shaner, passed away on November 21, 2016. He was born in New Lexington, Ohio to Gene Shaner and Ellen J Klinger on September 2, 1952. Bruce served for the United States Air Force for 20 years. After retirement from the Air Force, Bruce became a self-employed commercial truck driver for over 23 years. He enjoyed traveling and visited all 50 states. Bruce appreciated music, especially Patsy Cline and Willie Nelson, only played at max volume!



Bruce was proud of his new role as "Grandpa." His four grandchildren brought so much joy...

Bruce was proud of his new role as "Grandpa." His four grandchildren brought so much joy and entertainment to his life. He is preceded in death by his mother. Bruce is survived by his father, brother, sister, two daughters, and four grandchildren. He will be greatly missed, but forever in our hearts.



His funeral service will take place on December 9, 2016 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1:15pm. In lieu of flowers, Bruce would like donations considered for the following charities:
